Business Coaching FAQ

Straight answers to the questions we hear most often from prospective and current clients.

Our standard engagement is £650 per month, billed monthly by invoice or direct debit. That covers two 90-minute coaching sessions, email support between sessions, and full access to our resource library of templates and tools. There are no setup fees and no long-term contract. If you want weekly sessions instead, the monthly fee is £1,100.

No. About half our clients are elsewhere in the UK. Sessions run perfectly well over Zoom or Google Meet. We have coached business owners in London, Belfast, Manchester, and rural Wales. If you are within an hour of central Scotland, we are happy to meet in person at your office or a co-working space.

Most clients notice clearer decision-making and better time management within the first month. That sounds soft, but it shows up concretely: fewer wasted meetings, quicker hiring decisions, less time on tasks that should be delegated. Measurable revenue or profit improvements typically appear within three to four months, depending on how quickly you implement the changes we agree on.

We specialise in service-based businesses with between two and fifty employees: trades firms, digital agencies, consultancies, recruitment companies, and professional practices like architects or surveyors. If your business sells a physical product, we can still help with the operational and leadership side, though we would not be the right fit for product design or supply-chain logistics.

We ask for a three-month initial commitment. That gives us enough time to complete the diagnostic phase, build a plan, and start executing. After three months, the engagement continues month-to-month and you can stop with 30 days' notice. Most clients stay for six to twelve months because the accountability keeps them moving forward.

The discovery call lasts about 30 minutes. We ask you to describe your business, your current challenges, and what you want to achieve in the next twelve months. We share how our coaching works and whether we think we can help. There is no hard sell. If it is a good fit, we send you a proposal within two working days. If it is not, we will say so honestly and, where possible, point you towards someone who is better suited.

Only if you want us to. Some clients prefer to keep coaching private. Others find it useful for us to sit in on a team meeting or have a one-to-one conversation with a key manager. When we do speak with team members, we treat everything discussed as confidential unless you tell us otherwise.

A consultant typically writes a report and leaves. We work alongside you over months, meeting fortnightly, reviewing progress, and adjusting the plan as conditions change. You do the implementation; we keep you focused and accountable. Think of it as having a sparring partner who knows your numbers and will tell you when something is not working.

Yes. After the initial three-month period, you can pause your engagement for up to three months without losing your place. We keep your files and notes on hand so we can pick up where we left off. If the pause goes beyond three months, we treat the restart as a new engagement, which means a shorter re-diagnostic session to catch up on what has changed.
